Children’s Sunday School
Princes street church has been blessed with a growing Sunday School – most recently often welcoming between 25-30 children through our doors! In Sunday School, we are passionate about including all ages of children so that each and every one feels they are a valued and important part of our church family. It is rewarding to see the variety of ages and abilities coming together, caring and supporting each other as together they learn more about the love Jesus has for them.
The 9+ year olds break away from the main group after our welcome and worship time to have their own study time which is more suitable to their age. For the younger children, we are enthusiastic about providing more interactive ways of learning, we often have messy play and more sensory based setups to aid their understanding and enjoyment!
Using a comprehensive curriculum from Ministry Grid Lifeway, we are dedicated to sharing the wonderful news of the gospel every week as we learn memory verses, songs, and study God’s Word together. Our children are the future of the church and therefore it’s important to us that they can have opportunities to participate in the Sunday service – whether this is by singing or presenting gifts to the adults on special occasions! The older group of children also remain in the main service once a month for communion and to help prepare them for listening to the sermon and becoming a part of the congregation.
We have a wonderful team of volunteers who ensure we meet Safeguarding measures and provide a safe and welcoming space for all. We are very keen to support parents as they disciple their children in the home; we provide extra materials for promoting discussion and recapping Sunday’s lesson with the hope that our children will foster a delight in learning about God all week long! It would be an absolute joy to welcome your child along to our Sunday School! We would also be really grateful if you could join in praying for those who attend already, giving thanks for the many blessings God has shown us thus far.
